Overlooking Lake Michigan, the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum features fine and decorative arts dating from the 15th through to the 18th centuries, wrought-iron masterpieces by Cyril Colnik, and a new formal garden. The changing exhibitions emphasize the Villa’s architecture, plus the craft, decorative arts, and design by both Wisconsin and non-Wisconsin artists of national or international backgrounds. Also drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture by Wisconsin and non-Wisconsin artists with architectural, decorative arts, European and garden-themed subject matter. The Museum, an Italian Renaissance-style villa, also hosts a variety of events and programs that not only entertain our patrons, but educate as well.
In addition, the Villa Terrace Art Museum offers unique rental opportunity for corporate and private events. The Mediterranean-stylized Museum and Renaissance Garden will surround your guests with tranquil views while they enjoy a moonlit cocktail reception on the Terrace de Luna or guest lecturer in the Grand Hall.
